Hello and welcome to another catch up from The Station. Finally, the daylight hours are stretching out and we seem to be having more blue skies and sunshine. The bulbs Jess planted in the greenhouse are all growing and it won't be long before we see some splashes of colour in our garden again.
NEW BEAUTY THERAPIST
We can finally announce that we have found an additional beauty therapist to join the team! Megan, will be joining us from 15th March. She comes to us with a wealth of experience and qualifications in all areas of beauty therapy and we, cannot wait.
POP UP CLINICS TO START THIS SPRING...
Some super exciting news... we will very soon be launching our pop up clinics. These will mainly be on Mondays and Tuesdays and will be things like reflexology, reiki, swedish and thai massage. Our first collaboration is with @felicity_watts_reflexology. Felicity will be holding her first clinic with us on May 15th.The 2nd collaboration is with Ana Bernal @thai mandala. Ana's first day with us will be on Tuesday 14th March. For further details about treatments or if you would like to know more about collaborating with us, please get in touch.
MARTIN AND HOLLIE IN ON A MONDAY...
The Station is now open Monday to Saturday and proving very popular. And to make it even better… as of March/April Martin and Hollie will be in on some of the Mondays too! You can book your appointments online or call the salon and Glynne or Heather will be more than happy to help you.
2023 CHALLENGES AND GOALS…
This year, various members of the team are lining up all sorts of things.
After Jess and Glynne attended the Sustainable Salon course at the Davines Accadamy, they have come back with even more passion to work towards being a more sustainable salon. Starting with little things such as changing the cleaning products we use to an eco friendly and refilable brand and the shower heads on our backwash basins.
Hollie is walking 100k, every month, for a whole year to raise money for the brain tumour charity- a charity that is personally very close to her heart. We are all insanely proud of this woman and the effort she makes every single day. As I type this she’s already raised over £400. You can follow her story on Instagram “The Long Walk Home.”
Our beauty therapists will be in extra training over the next 3 months to bring a new range of facials to us all (We can’t wait).
Our junior stylists will be taking their hairdressing exams this year and Honey begins her hairdressing learning journey.
And of course, there will be our hair show and party night again in July! This is just a smidgin’ of the list!
HIEDI THE COFFEE VAN IS FOR SALE...
With the warmer days just around the corner we cannot wait to open the coffee garden again. We have however made a huge decision in that we will be selling our coffee van. This was not an easy decision and has been discussed for many months now. If you are interested in starting a new venture in a gorgeous vintage van get in touch with Glynne and he can tell you all the details. In the meantime you can pop in to reception and grab a drink or sweet treat from the salon and very soon you will be able to sit relax in our garden again.

MODELS NEEDED…
A new year means lots of education, hair shows and photo shoots. As always we have an open book for models for all services from shampooing & blow drying, haircutting, hair colouring, and extensions. These appointments are all overseen by a senior stylist and are usually either FREE or discounted. If you are interested in knowing more please do get in touch.
REFILL STATION…
Don’t forget that when you have finished your shampoo, conditioner or Tranquility Shower Gel, you can return your clean empty containers and we can refill them for you. Not only will you feel like a superhero for preventing more plastic ending up in our oceans, you will save money on your next purchase of products and collect a stamp on your Magic Stamp loyalty app.
